In recent years, performance evaluation is widely used in the evaluation of financial expenditure. The agricultural research institution as an important role in agricultural scientific research project expenditure, should take the initiative to adapt to the requirements of performance evaluation. This paper described the main characteristics of the performance evaluation and analyzed the application of performance evaluation in agricultural research unit project expenditure, in order to enhance the efficiency of agricultural scientific research institution.
