Clinical pathology training is an essential part of post graduate education. It is also an important way of cultivating qualified clinical pathologist. Clinical pathologist training programs (including residency and specialist training program) have been launched for more than 6 years in Shanghai. This article reviewed the organization, management, practice of the standardized training for clinical pathologist and discussed the problems and possible solutions.
