In this study, the situation of China’s paper industry in recent years was compared with the relevant literature analysis including the energy structure, raw material structure, pulping process and cooking method, which were impacted on the carbon emissions of paper industry. The effects of the new equipment and new processes on energy-saving were inquired, and a reasonable path of energy saving and carbon reduction was provided, which could help China’s paper industry toward the road of low-carbon, green and sustainable development.
