At present, the domestic traditional village spatial form research presents a detailed, quantitative, scientific development trend. Under this background, introducing the GIS spatial analysis method into the traditional village spatial form research has the vital innovation significance. This study selects traditional village of Zengcheng area in Guangzhou city as the research object, use GIS spatial analysis method, building morphology properties database of 19 traditional villages in Zengcheng district, making digital maps using the tr database, and mapping traditional villages morphology. Synthesized google earth aerial photo, historic literature as well as the status quo of research, the article analyzes the traditional villages morphology and its evolution law in Zengcheng region and forms a final conclusion .This research is a new method to study the traditional village spatial form, providing important enlightenment l to the protection of villages at the regional level under the rapid urbanization.
