苏州桃花坞木刻年画是人类文明发展史上的一朵奇葩,是南方年画的代表,历史悠久,也是我国江南地区关于“年文化”的一个重要文化意象,具有深厚精神底蕴和艺术价值。通过分析不同时代背景下桃花坞木刻年画的题材风格,解读其多层次的文化意象,发掘其美学意义和多元性,将桃花坞木刻年画与时俱进,探索在现代服装设计中的装饰语言并得到合理的应用,让年画重返生活。

Suzhou taohuawu woodcut New Year pictures are a paramount flower in the development history of human civilization. They are the representative of southern New Year paintings with a long history. They are also an important cultural image of "New Year culture" in jiangnan region of China.By analyzing the themes and styles of Taohuawu wood carving New Year paintings under different historical backgrounds, this paper interprets their multi-level cultural images, explores their aesthetics and diversity, advances with The Times, and explores the design language and reasonable application of Taohuawu wood carving New Year paintings in modern clothing design.
