杨树是林木的模式树种,也是第1个完成全基因组测序的树种。杨树基因组计划推动了杨树基因芯片技术的不断改进和完善,通过结合统计学、信息学与传统生物学的方法与技术,对芯片数据进行深度挖掘和分析,使得基因组进化、木材形成、激素代谢、开花和休眠等研究领域进入如火如荼的发展阶段。

Populus, as a model perennial woody species, is the first tree species that has been finished whole-genome sequencing. Promoted by the Populus Genome Plan, the Populus microarray technology improved evidently. The method that combines the technologies of statistics, informatics and traditional biology, has been used to mine and analyze microarray data profoundly, which enhanced the research area of genome evolution, wood formation, hormone metabolism, flowering, dormancy and so on.
