Objective To study the effect of elevated ALT on maternal-infant outcomes in pregnancy for mothers with hepatitis B surface antigen(HBsAg) seropositive. Methods A total of 327 HBsAg-positive mothers were divided into normal ALT group(n=251) and elevated ALT group(n=76) according to the serum levels of ALT during pregnancy.Pregnancy complications and outcomes were compared between two groups. Results The incidences of premature delivery, fetal distress, postpartum hemorrhage and low birth weigh of neonates in elevated ALT group were higher than those in normal ALT group(P〈0.05).The average levels of birth weight, gestational age and Apgar score in neonates born to elevated ALT mothers were lower than those born to normal ALT group(P〈0.05).Conclusion For mothers with HBsAg-positive,pregnancy with elevated ALT can increase the pregnancy complications and affect maternal-infant outcomes of pregnancy.
