The main circuit parameters of converter station equipments are very inportant for a DC transmission system design as they are the basic factors for performance of the whole system.This article discussed the principle for parameters selecting,and actually selected them for Yunnan-Guangdong ±800 kV DC project,including short-circuit impedance,OLTC steps of converter transformer,smoothing reactor inductance,and parameters of converter valve and control system.Finally,it is emphasized that the rationality of selected parameters should be checked out through calculations on the characteristics of main circuit steady state.
