The suitable medium of engineering bacteria (E.Coli/p WSY) for melanin fermentation obtained by means of orthgonal optimization. Fermentation medium (%): Tryptone 1, Glucose 0.2, (NH 4) 2SO 4 0.5, K 2HPO 4 0.7, KH 2PO 4 0.3, NaCl 0.5, MgSO 4 0.01, pH 7.0. This research provioled the important data for the producation on large scale of melanin fermentation by microbiological fermentation.
