There are three purity measuring methods of vulcanizing accelerator NOBS: potentiometric titration, indicator titration and liquid chromatography. The result of potentiometric titration is 0.42% more than indicator titration's. The result of HPLC is 0. 39% more than potentiometric titration's. Through the comparison of the three measuring methods of vulcanizing accelerator NOBS , the reason of adopted potentiometric titration in the revised GB/T8829 is illuminated.
