Purpose: To observe the clinical effect of treating pulmonary heart disease of acute stage with therapy of supplementing Qi and activating blood circulation by removing blood stasis besides routine treatment. Methods:Dividing 50 inpatients into two groups randomly. The 30 cases of the treating group were treated with “Yiqi Huoxue Huayu Decoction" and “Shuizhi Injection" besides routine treatment, while only routine treatment for control group. Results:The improvement of symptom and total response rate of the treating group were much better than those of the control group (P<005). There was no obvious difference between the two groups in objective index (P>005).There were significant differences in the total number of white blood cells and classification of leukocytes of the two groups before and after treatment (P<001) but those of the treating group were better than those of the control group (P<005). Comparing the indexes of the blood rheology of the treating group before and after treatment we found a significant difference (P<001). Conelusion: Treating pulmonary heart disease of acute stage with therapy of supplementing Qi and activating blood circulation by removing blood stasio besides routine treatment had good clinical effects.
