归化与异化之争可谓直译与意译之争的延伸。只是论争的战场由语言层次上升到诗学、文化和政治层面。本文拟对归化与异化的概念厘定、历史缘起与理论现状进行综述。
The conflict between domestication and foreignization as opposite translation strategies can be regarded as the poetic, cultural and political rather than linguistic extension of the time-worn controversy over free translation and literal translation. The present paper endeavors to explore relative definitions and theoretical developments of the two concepts.
