Two species of genus Merlinius Siddiqi,1970: Merlinius montanus Maqbool & Shahina,1987 and Merlinius brevidens(Allen,1955) Siddiqi,1970 were described in this paper.They were all extracted from rhizosphere soil of potatos in China.M.montanus is a new record species in China and M.brevidens a new record species in Shaanxi Province,China.
