This paper discusses a range of issues concerning the pulmonary delivery of traditional Chinese medicine, including forms of dosage, methods for assessing the therapeutic effects, and difficult aspects of delivering traditional medicines via the pulmonary path. Authors believe that pulmonary delivery remains a highly promising alternative for TCM delivery, as some tough challenges so far encountered in commercial applications can be addressed through an enhanced R&D effort.
