The principle of electrochemical alcohol sensor is studied in this paper, and the advantages and disadvantages are compared between electrochemical alcohol sensor and semiconductor-type sensor. Working principle of breath alcohol police detector based on MSP430F437 is given, and the alcohol sensor is designed. Experiments show that the proposed sensor is stable and reliable.
