Application status of drop weight impact test, air gun test, split Hopkinson pressure bar test and dynamic extrusion physical simulation test in study of dynamical mechanical properties of propellant were introduced .The progress of dynamical mechanical properties of propellant was reviewed. Considering damage and low temperature brittleness of propellant bullets, the mechanics analysis of propellant impacting projectile body and the numerical simulation models of breaking need further study.
