Based on recent field and in-door researches and investigations, this paper briefly statesand reviews on some issues on the crustal framework and tectonic evolution such as the pre-Sinian tectonic framework, opening and closing ages of the Paleozoic ocean, tectonic settings and originations of the Late Paleozoic magmatism in northern Xinjiang, crustal evolution of Xinjiang since the Jurassic, and dynamics of formation and evolution of Xinjiang crust. And then, some new ideas about these issues are put forward.
