The influence of the uniaxial mechanical stresses on the bulk photovoltaic effect (BPX) i n the cubic piezoelectric crystal ZnS is investigated, It is shown that the mechanical stresses in the definite directions change the value of BPE and lead to the generation of the new components of BPE including spatially oscillating photovoltaic currents (SOPC). The piezophoto voltaic effect is described by the fifth rank tensor. The components of the piezophotovoltaic tensor were experimentally obtained for the crystal ZnS, which belong to the point group 43m.
