Following the simply introduction of MANET(Mobile Ad hoc Network) routing protocols, six fundamental performance indexes are given to measure the routing protocols performance quantitatively. Then a NS 2 based simulation model and an evaluation scheme are developed, along with an evaluation instance. According to the conclusion, the simulation results are close to the theory analysis and practice, and the better generalization and practicability of this scheme are proved.
