In American democratic system,libraries ensure intellectual freedom in the following four aspects.Firstly,libraries are required to stay neutral on controversial social issues.Secondly,libraries should stand up against any types of book censorship.Thirdly, libraries must treat all users equally as for book borrowing and other services.Lastly,librarians,as the operators of libraries,must always realize the importance of intellectual freedom and establish the philosophy of respecting intellectual freedom by education and training.
